What StartupThrone is
A public leaderboard of startups, ranked only by the amount paid. It is a paid advertising ranking: a place depends only on what has been paid, never on quality, traffic or our opinion. Every listing is an advertisement by the startup that paid for it.
How a place is decided
A listing's total is everything paid for it since it was last listed. The largest total holds #1, the next largest #2, and so on. When two totals are equal, the startup that listed first is placed higher.
To pass a listing, your total has to be higher than its total.
What it costs
You choose the amount: any whole number of rupees from ₹49 to ₹5,00,000 per payment. Prices are final, with any GST that applies included, so what you see is what you pay. Every paid order gets a numbered invoice.
You pay by UPI, card, netbanking or wallet through Cashfree Payments. Card and UPI details are entered on Cashfree's pages, never ours. You do not sign up for anything.
How long it lasts
A listing stays on the board for 30 days after its last payment. Every payment extends it to 30 days from that day.
When it expires, it leaves the board. A payment after that lists it again, with the total starting again from that payment. The old total does not come back.
Raising a listing
Anyone can raise any listing on the board by paying any amount for it. The payment adds to that listing's total and extends its time on the board. The founder hears when they are passed while inside the top 10, at most once every half hour, with the price to take the place back.
The link check
The name, pitch and logo show as soon as the payment is confirmed. The website link shows only after a moderator checks it, usually within a few hours. If it is not approved, the link stays hidden and the logo comes down with it, but the paid name, pitch and place remain.
What is never allowed
Nothing unlawful, sexual, deceptive or harmful, no impersonation, no promises of guaranteed returns, and the website must belong to the startup listed. Automated checks refuse such listings before payment, so a refused listing is never charged. Read the full content rules.
Refunds
If a moderator removes a listing for breaking the content rules, every payment for it is refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method. A payment taken twice, or a charge for a listing that never appeared because of our fault, is refunded too. Being passed by someone who paid more is how the ranking works, and is not a reason for a refund. The refund policy has the details.
